“The only thing constant in life is change.” — Heraclitus
“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.” — Seneca
These quotes resonated with me this week, thanks to a thoughtful post by #ProfessorAmandaKirby that reflected on how change can deeply impact neurodivergent individuals. It reminded me just how challenging change can be — not just for those who are neurodivergent, but for all of us. We often hesitate, worry about the “what ifs,” and stay in the comfortable instead of stepping into the new.
In business, success can sometimes bring complacency. Fear of change can cause us to hesitate — and that hesitation can cost us opportunities.
So, with that in mind, I want to share some personal and professional change here at #Accentua.
After 13 incredible years, our much-respected friend and colleague Rick has retired.
Rick brought grit, focus, warmth, and a fantastic sense of humour to the team. His honesty and drive built strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. He has left a lasting footprint at Accentua — one that we deeply appreciate.
As Rick moves on to new adventures, we’re excited to see the next chapter unfold within our team. Stefanie, who worked closely with Rick as his Project Manager, has stepped into a new role as UK Project Director. She now brings her energy and insight directly to the clients she supports, and we couldn’t be prouder.
But that’s not the only change.
We’re rebuilding our website — not just to look good, but to work better for you.
For this, we’d love your input:
- What would make it truly useful for you?
- What do you need when considering language services?
- Would a quote upload tool help?
- Would you use a subscription service?
- Want an “Ask the Expert” section?
We have our ideas — but you are the people we want it to work for.
Over the coming weeks, you’ll see some changes in our posts too. More questions, more insights, and hopefully, more conversations.
So, here’s to change — embracing it, shaping it, and growing through it.
We hope you’ll be part of this next chapter with us.
